Local Development Officer - Norwich
Building on the success of six years of the Norfolk Scouts Action for Growth Project, we seek a full time Local Development Officer to further support, instigate and deliver focused development plans and opportunities in the Norwich Scouting Districts.
The key tasks will include recruiting and supporting volunteers as well as supporting the overall growth of Scouting. The person will have excellent interpersonal, communications & organisational skills, a full clean driving license & own car. The job demands a flexible approach as frequent evening and weekend working will be required.
Previous experience of Scouting, youth work and the voluntary sector is desirable and you need to understand fully and be committed to the ethos of Scouting, with a clear grasp of how it can work in urban and minority ethnic communities. Employment will be subject to satisfactory references and enhanced Criminal Records Bureau clearance.
This is initially a three-year fixed-term contract, starting salary £20,514 plus essential user car allowance.
