Many aspects of programme can benefit from sharing information and, in some cases, doing things together with others. To support this there are four such groupings.
Programme Specific Networks
Explorer Belt Network

The Explorer Belt Network is a fairly recent addition to The Scout Association's International networks. Following two Explorer Belt Workshops, and identifying that more focused support and effort is required to allow more young people to take part in Explorer Belt, this non-country specific network came into existence.
By tapping existing knowledge of Explorer Belt, from past participants and those who have helped to organise expeditions, it is anticipated that this network can assist in sharing knowledge, ultimately leading to an increase in the numbers of young people attempting and achieving Explorer Belt
This is now all the more important as Explorer Belt becomes established as a key aspect of the international dimension in the programme for Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network.
The network meets twice a year, providing workshop activities to assist others in the planning and realisation of their expeditions. Occasionally, opportunities present themselves for those engaged with the network to carry forward specific projects focused around Explorer Belt.

GAPP Network - Global Magic Together

The GAPP Network (Global Awareness Partnership Project) is a national network with the following objectives:
To work in partnership with Groups, Districts, Counties and International Camp Organisers:
- To help more young people to be involved in global awareness and development issues
- To help young people to be involved in peer education.
- To help young people to participate fully in decision-making.
As the network moto 'Global Magic Together' suggests its about helping young people discover the magic of doing global awareness activities.
The Network is relatively new and relatively small, although expanding all the time. It is predominately aimed at 18-25 year olds, but anyone with a strong commitment to Global Awareness and Peer Education is welcome to join.
It is hoped that by working in partnership with local leaders, Scout Networks etc that the GAPP Network can spread this Global Magic. GAPP activities obviously fit with the Global elements of the new programme. The GAPP Network members are given training to ensure that activities carried out are fun and educational.
More details on the GAPP Network can be obtained from visiting the GAPP website at http://www.GAPP.me.uk or by contacting the GAPP e-group.
Remember GAPP can bring Global Magic to you without having to go abroad.
Kandersteg Scout Fellowship

As the largest user of Kandersteg International Scout Centre, there are many who continue to value the time they spent at Kandersteg either as a visitor or as a staff member. A National Scout Fellowship was started in 2003 to provide active support and co-ordinate future activities such as study visits, work teams and refurbishment of the British Room.
International Camps Review Group

Each year the International Team facilitates a review of International Camps held in the UK, along with sharing plans for future large scale events. Good practice, solutions to problems and innovative ideas are shared. A briefing paper detailing some of the good practice and advice is updated annually. See FS260024 for the current issue.
