Training Diary - 2008

Click on the link below to find out more about the courses running at Gilwell Park in 2008:

Gilwell Training 2008

The Training Programme on offer for 2007 aims to meet the needs of all Leaders and Trainers. There is a course available for most appointments and you are very welcome to join us.

The courses at Gilwell offer a unique experience, you will be able to network with other people in similar roles from all over the United Kingdom and receive the latest information relevant to your Scouting role from people directly involved in the development of national policy.

Programmes are designed to cover all the modules relevant to your role in Scouting. This means that in a course you can cover all of the learning necessary for your Wood Badge or other training requirements. As well as meeting your training needs, you will benefit from the knowledge and experience of the course staff; they will also be able to advise you on the validation of the modules to aid your discussions with your Training Adviser when you return home.

We are always looking at ways of improving the programme of courses we offer. If you have any comments or suggestions that could help us to meet your training needs we would like to hear them. Please contact the Adult Support office by email: adult.support@scout.org.uk or by telephone: 020 8433 7136

During the summer months, participants have the choice of residential or camping accommodation. Whichever type is chosen, the quoted course fee includes indoor accommodation or camping costs and all meals taken during the course, most of which are provided in the White House Restaurant.

Early booking is essential - please send in your application form at least two months before the course start date so that we have a clear idea of numbers. This helps us with programme planning.

We would like all Leaders to attend a course at Gilwell. If you need financial support please let us know, as there is a bursary fund available. Money should not be a barrier to attending a course. Confidential enquiries concerning financial support should be made to:
